Educational Qualifications for RRC NER Recruitment 2024: 1104 apprentices Vacancy
The essential qualifications for candidates applying are:
- A minimum of 50% marks in the High School/10th examination.
- Possession of an ITI certificate in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT on or before the notification issue date, i.e., 12.06.2024.
Age Limit For RRC NER Recruitment 2024: 1104 apprentices Vacancy
The age criteria for candidates are as follows:
- Candidates must be between 15 years and 24 years of age as of 12.06.2024.
- SC/ST candidates are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit.
- OBC candidates can avail of a relaxation of up to 3 years in the upper age limit.
- Divyang candidates are eligible for a maximum relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit.
Pay Scale and Benefits
Training & Stipend: Selected candidates will undergo training based on the curriculum set by the Central Apprenticeship Council upon registration with RDAT/Kanpur. During the apprenticeship, candidates will receive a stipend at rates specified by existing rules/instructions.

Selection Process for RRC NER Recruitment 2024: 1104 apprentices Vacancy
- Selection of eligible candidates for training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on a merit list.
- The merit list will average the percentage of marks from Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examinations, with equal weightage given to both.
- Candidates have the option to choose more than one unit/location.
- If a candidate’s merit does not allow for their first choice, they will be allocated their subsequent choices.
- Candidates provisionally selected for Document Verification will be called to Gorakhpur.
- Required documents for Document Verification include:
- Copy of online application
- Medical Certificate in prescribed format
- 4 passport-sized photographs
- All original certificates and testimonials for verification
- The apprenticeship training for successful candidates will commence at the allotted Division/Unit.

To apply, candidates must visit N.E. Railway’s website www.ner.indianrailways.gov.in.They need to submit their application along with a processing fee of Rs.100 online. Before applying, candidates should verify their eligibility based on the notification. The online application server will open on 12.06.2024 at 10:00 AM and close on 11.07.2024 at 5:00 PM.
